CURRENT SEASON

Duncanville Community Theatre was founded in 1988 to bring independent quality live theatre to Duncanville and all of the Best Southwest area. DCT officially became a Texas non-profit corporation in 1989 and acquired 501(c)(3) status in that same year.

 

We produce six shows annually, and our season runs June 1 to May 31. We offer acting workshops for all ages, and we support community groups with gift certificate donations, loan of technical equipment, costumes, etc.

Featuring many of her unforgettable hits, this humorous and emotional journey was inspired by years of friendship and correspondence between Patsy and an avid fan she met at a Texas honky-tonk – a cherished friendship that continued until Patsy's untimely death.

Everyone knows the eccentric Marcus sisters, Arlene and Elzbeth, are witches. So, when their housekeeper disappears the local sheriff is slow to investigate and no one is equipped to deal with the spells, potions, spying owls, and a mysterious new housekeeper!

Inspired by true events, this powerful story follows a woman's fight for justice against the U.S. Radium Corporation after she and other luminous watch dial painters become mysteriously ill.  Serious, fast-moving and often humorous dialogue
pits health against wealth.

What happens when two married and totally opposite strangers meet on a train at 4:30 a.m. with the New York Times Crossword?  The answer: Humor, a little romance, and some lively competition...all leading to an unpredictable ending!

A cast of unique and interesting characters – the guests of Monkswell Manor – are apparently snowed in with a manic killer! Murder, mystery, and even a surprise twist ending combine in this famous classic for a wickedly
thrilling evening of theater!

Hilarity and romance abound in this delightful show when two unemployed Shakespearean actors resolve to pass themselves off as the long lost nephews and heirs to a wealthy woman. However, the plot takes a hilarious turn when the heirs' true identities are revealed!
