Empty Stage


Duncanville Community Theatre was founded in 1988 to bring independent quality live theatre to Duncanville and all of the Best Southwest area. DCT officially became a Texas non-profit corporation in 1989 and acquired 501(c)(3) status in that same year.


We produce six shows annually, and our season runs June 1 to May 31. We offer acting workshops for all ages, and we support community groups with gift certificate donations, loan of technical equipment, costumes, etc.

August 19-28 

Take a step back in time with the charming, smash Off-Broadway hit, The Marvelous Wonderettes! Join Betty Jean, Cindy Lou, Missy, and Suzy at the Springfield High School class of 1958 Super Senior Prom and at their 10-year reunion, as these four best friends navigate relationships, growing up, and following their dreams. Featuring all your favorite hits of the '50s and '60s, this special one-act version of The Marvelous Wonderettes is a nostalgia packed show that is sure to have you singing along from your seat!

A witty, sly and deeply moving glimpse of "the hardest job in the world"is revealed as Lady Bird Johnson, Pat Nixon and Betty Ford prepare to share tea with the incoming First Lady, honestly and unabashedly revealing secrets, hopes, dreams, and even a few regrets.

In this wickedly funny play, Harriet is canny enough to be a kept woman by two men, thus solving all her financial woes. But when her perfect and precise schedule is unexpectedly interrupted, quick-witted and complex improvisation is required to save the day!

MAY 5-8 & 12-14

Joyful and exuberant, yet ultimately touching, this comedy focuses on three women at a crossroads in their lives. Their coping methods and zany – sometimes slightly inappropriate – actions promise to keep the audience laughing all evening long.
